Technical Notes: Contouring

· Apply the base of primer, foundation and concealer without powdering.
·     Use concealer to highlight and contour.
· Use a concealer 1-2 shades darker than base to contour, and a concealer 1-2 shades lighter to highlight.
· Use the lighter shade above cheekbones by dotting above cheekbones and blending into hairline.
·  Use a pad to pull up the side of the face so you can work the products into the skin properly.
·     Highlight down centre of nose, under eyebrow, centre of forehead and jawline.
·      Get model to suck in cheeks and dot the darker concealer under the cheekbones and blend into the hairline.
·    Can also put the darker shade down either side of the nose and at the bottom of the nose to make the nose look narrower and shorter.
·      Contour under jawline.
·      When complete powder on top.
·    Get model to smile and apply a powder blush to cheeks and up to forehead.
·    Bright pinks suit blondes, peach based blushers are better for dark haired people.
·      Can powder over the top again to get rid of any harsh lines.
·  Use Illamasqua ‘disobey’ powder to contour the eye socket and under cheekbones.
